Excess Contribution Terms and Conditions

1. What this offer is

If you contact Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd directly and choose us to carry out your insurance repair, we may contribute towards your policy excess, subject to these terms and conditions.

2. How the excess contribution is calculated

Your excess contribution is calculated as 7% of the authorised repair cost (excluding VAT), subject to the limits below:

• Minimum contribution: £150
• Maximum contribution: £750

This means:

• If 7% is less than £150, your contribution will be £150
• If 7% is between £150 and £750, your contribution will be the 7% amount
• If 7% is more than £750, your contribution will be £750

3. Eligibility

This offer applies only where all of the following apply:

• You contact Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd directly about your repair
• You choose Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd as your repairer for an insurance claim
• The repair is authorised
• The repair is completed by Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd

4. Exclusions

This offer does not apply where:

• You were directed or referred to Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd by your insurer
• You were referred by an accident management company
• You were referred by one of Bodymatters' work providers
• The repair is private pay or paid by a third party outside an insurance claim
• Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd has agreed a fixed price or reduced repair cost with the insurer to help avoid the vehicle being treated as a total loss, following a customer request
• Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd has agreed to carry out additional work, repairs, or services free of charge in place of an excess contribution

5. One benefit rule

Only one goodwill or promotional allowance can be applied per repair claim.

6. Final contribution amount

The excess contribution amount is confirmed once the repair cost has been authorised and eligibility has been checked.

7. Offer administration

Eligibility for this offer is determined by Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd.

We reserve the right to amend, withdraw, or refuse the offer where the repair does not meet the qualifying criteria.

Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd reserves the right to amend or withdraw this offer at any time without notice.

8. Customer examples

Repair Guarantee

1. The standard guarantee

The Repair Guarantee is the standard guarantee for every completed Bodymatters repair, subject to its terms and exclusions.

2. Workmanship

Repair workmanship is guaranteed for five years from completion or until you no longer own the vehicle, whichever occurs first.

3. Paintwork

Paintwork is guaranteed for three years from completion and covers refinishing-process defects such as peeling, blistering, flaking, microblistering, loss of adhesion or loss of gloss in repaired or painted areas.

Paint exclusions apply, including damage after repair, stone chips, scratches, contamination, neglect or improper washing.

4. Parts

Parts are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty, usually twelve months.

5. Remedying valid defects

Valid guarantee defects will be remedied without charge after inspection and agreement.

6. General exclusions

The guarantee does not cover:

• New accident damage
• Impacts and vandalism
• Wear and tear
• Weathering or fading
• Areas not repaired by Bodymatters
• Misuse, neglect or lack of reasonable care
• Work carried out by another repairer after Bodymatters' repair
• Consequential losses such as loss of use or travel costs

7. Scope

The guarantee applies only to repaired areas, is provided to the vehicle owner at the time of repair, and is not transferable. It does not affect your statutory rights.

Price My Repair – Online Estimate Terms

1. What this tool provides

The "Price My Repair" estimate is an automated indicative price range only. It is not a formal quotation, valuation, or binding offer of any kind.

2. Accuracy disclaimer

Estimates are generated using the information you provide, including photographs, damage descriptions, and vehicle details. Actual repair costs may differ once the vehicle has been physically inspected by Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd.

3. Not a quotation

The price range shown is for guidance only. A formal repair cost can only be confirmed after a physical vehicle inspection by Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd.

4. Photo quality

The accuracy of the estimate depends on the quality and completeness of the photos and information submitted. Poor quality or missing photos may result in a wider price range or a lower confidence level.

5. AI-generated content

Where an AI-powered explanation is provided alongside the estimate, this is generated automatically and is for informational purposes only. It does not constitute professional advice.

6. Data handling

Information submitted through the estimate tool (including photos, vehicle details, and contact information) is stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing the estimate and any follow-up repair enquiry. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Estimate access

Each estimate result is accessible via a unique secure link. Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd is not responsible for unauthorised sharing of this link.

8. No obligation

Submitting an estimate request does not commit you to any repair or service. There is no charge for using the online estimate tool.

9. Availability

The estimate tool is provided as-is. Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd reserves the right to modify, suspend, or withdraw the tool at any time without notice.

Courtesy Vehicles

Courtesy vehicles are loaned to you free of charge when available.

You agree for us to carry out an online licence check using your full licence number and your National Insurance number or you do the check yourself online and send us the sharecode given to you on the online checker.

We reserve the right to refuse a courtesy car at any time.

We give the car to you fully roadworthy, clean and with enough fuel to get to the nearest fuel station.

We expect the courtesy vehicle to be returned undamaged, clean, vacuumed, ready for the next person and with the same amount of fuel as handed to you.

If any damage is caused then you will be liable for the costs up to the amount of excess applicable.

Any parking / speeding fines are your responsibility. We may at times add an admin charge to cover the costs to us.

We have a 300 mile per week limit on any of our courtesy vehicles. A 12p per mile charge will be applicable after the 300 mile per week limit.

You will be on our insurance for the duration of the loan vehicle given to you and you have agreed to pay the applicable excess amount documented.

Any punctures or tyre damage you are responsible for: Either a puncture repair (if safe to do so) or a new like for like tyre. A different tyre cannot be fitted otherwise we will change that tyre ourselves and charge you the cost.

Non-Fault Accident Assistance

Where you have been involved in an accident that was not your fault, Bodymatters (Stafford) Ltd can assist you through the repair process. We are not a claims management company and do not process insurance claims on your behalf.

Our role is to:

• Guide you through the steps involved in getting your vehicle repaired
• Liaise with the at-fault party's insurer to obtain repair authority
• Provide updates throughout the repair process
• Arrange a like-for-like courtesy vehicle where possible

You remain responsible for your own insurance claim at all times. We act as your chosen repairer and communicate with insurers solely in relation to the repair of your vehicle.

This service is offered as part of our standard repair process and is not a regulated claims management activity.
